The IBEW 77 Gala is a pivotal event in our calendar, marking our commitment to the well-being and support of our community. In the past, we have proudly aligned with the UW Burn Center at Harborview, an affiliation that has brought immense pride and satisfaction to our efforts. However, this year, we are taking a significant and heartfelt step closer to home by dedicating our gala proceeds to the IBEW 77 Benevolent Fund. This change means that the funds raised will directly benefit our members and their families—supporting those who have faced injuries on the job, as well as the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our power running.
The electrical industry is fraught with risks, and through this initiative, we aim to offer a tangible expression of our gratitude and support to our members in their moments of need. Join us in making a difference, as we rally to ensure that the individuals who light up our lives are supported through their darkest times. We are excited and proud to announce that every dollar raised will be a direct investment in the welfare of our IBEW 77 family.
The Gala Benefit is an opportunity for all of us to come together and support this important cause. In 2018, we raised $15,000 for the UW Burn Center, 2019, we raised $30,000, and in 2023 we raised $40,000! We hope to raise even more this year, and we are confident that with the support of our brothers and sisters from locals all over the 9th District, we will be able to do just that.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2023 in Snohomish, WA, and we can't wait to see everyone there! The Gala will be a night to remember, with great food, drinks, and entertainment. It's an opportunity to have fun while supporting an incredible cause.
